U.S. proposes to host next meeting of Armenian, Azeri FMs
The United States has proposed to host the next round of talks over the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) conflict between Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Elmar Mammadyarov, TASS reports, citing the Azerbaijani official.
Mammadyarov's comments came after his meeting with Mnatsakanyan in Moscow on 15 April with the participation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, as well as the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.
"Yesterday, we received an invitation from the U.S. to visit Washington where the secretary of state is expected to invest his best efforts in reaching a breakthrough in the conflct settlement,” Mammadyarov told a briefing in Poland.
