Another possible cause of fire in Notre Dame named
The fire in the Cathedral Notre Dame could have started because of a computer failure. This was stated by the rector of the Cathedral Archpriest Patrick Chauvet, reports the Associated Press.
The priest did not specify what kind of computer he was talking about and what kind of failure he had in mind. “Maybe we’ll find out what happened in two or three months,” he said.
On 18 April, it was reported that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit. Representatives of the police say that they do not consider the version of deliberate arson, but interrogate the staff of the Cathedral and restorers.
Prior to that, it was reported that the alleged cause of the fire may be related to the restoration work that began a few months ago. Around the monument of architecture were built scaffolding height of about 100 meters. The Prosecutor of Paris Remy Eitz noted that the investigation has no reason to talk about the deliberate arson of Notre Dame de Paris.
