‘We condemn all manifestations of terrorism’: Armenian parliament speaker offers condolences to Sri Lanka
Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan extended condolences to Karu Jayasuriya, the speaker of the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, over the recent deadly blasts that hit the country’s churches and hotels on Easter Sunday.
The message, released by the parliament’s press service, reads:
“Your Excellency,
I was deeply saddened to learn about the terrorist acts that hit Sri Lanka, causing numerous casualties, leaving many wounded and inflicting great losses.
We condemn all manifestations of terrorism and violence and are committed to consistently continue the fight against inhuman actions.
On behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and personally myself, I extend my deepest condolences to you, the friendly people of Sri Lanka and the relatives of the deceased, wishing them strength and endurance, and a speedy recovery to the injured.”
