Armenian leaders pay tribute to Armenian Genocide victims at Tsitsernakaberd
Top leadership of Armenia visited today Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex in capital Yerevan to pay tribute to the memory of the 1.5 million innocent victims of the 1915 Armenian Genocide perpetrated by the Ottoman Empire.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President Armen Sarkissian, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, National Assembly Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan and other senior officials laid wreaths at the memorial for the genocide victims.
Afterwards, the cabinet members placed flowers near the eternal flame.
After the flower-laying ceremony, His Holiness Karekin II offered prayers for the repose of souls of the Armenian Genocide victims.
