“Armmono” International Theater Festival to open in Yerevan
Yerevan will be hosting the Armmono 17th International Theater Festival of Mono Performances from April 30 May 4. As the Ministry of Culture reports, this year the festival programme includes 22 performances from Armenia, France, Ukraine, Russia, Albania, Israel, Poland, and Georgia.
The opening ceremony of the festival will take place on April 30 at Yerevan State Puppet Theatre after H. Tumanian with Anton Mozgyalov’s mono performance. The festival includes a special performances dedicated to the 150th birthday anniversary of Armenia poet Hovhannes Tumanian.
This year the festival features three regional theatres - from Echmiadzin, Goris and Abovyan as three performances from the main programme are to be played at Abovyan Drama Theatre.
The “ARMMONO” international theater festival was first held September 24, 2003. The festival’s founder is Hakob Ghazanchyan, chairman of the Union of Theatrical Workers of Armenia.
