Session of Eurasian Intergovernmental Council kicks off in Armenian capital
A regular session of the Eurasian Economic Union’s (EAEU) Intergovernmental Council got underway on Tuesday at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex in Yerevan, the Armenian capital.
Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tigran Sargsyan is also in attendance of the meeting.
Ahead of the meeting, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan welcomed the leaders of the EAEU member states Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of Russia was the last to arrive at the meeting venue.
A formal photo session followed the welcoming ceremony.
