Service prices grow in Armenia, statistics show
Prices for services increased by 0.2% in Armenia in April from March 2019, recording a 0.1% rise from 2018, according to the latest figures released by Armenia’s Statistical Committee.
Costs for leisure, culture and education rose by 0.1% in April, home appliances repair costs – by 0.2%, health care services – by 1.3% and waste disposal service prices – by a 1.5%.
Meantime, prices for complex recreational services and consumer service prices (prices at cafés, restaurants) dropped by 1.4% and 0.1%, respectively.
A 0.1-1.9% rise in service prices was recorded in nine cities under study in April against March, while one city saw a 0.1% decline in prices. Service prices remained unchanged in capital Yerevan in April this year agianst last year.
