Temperatures to grow to 30C in Armenian capital next week
Temperatures are set to rise to 30C in Armenia’s valleys and capital Yerevan for the first time this year next week, Gagik Surenyan, the head of the Meteorological Center at the Hydromet Service of Armenia's Ministry of Emergency Situations, said on Facebook.
In its daily weather update, the ministry said on 13 and 14 May temperatures are expected to soar to 34C in the Syunik valleys, 32C – in Artsakh and 30C – in the foothills of Vayots Dzor, Armavir and Ararat Provinces.
Showers with thunderstorms are predicted in some regions of the country after midday from 11 to 13 May, with hail possible in separate places.
