Prosperous Armenia faction sees no cooperation with Kocharyan, MP says
The Prosperous Armenia Party’s (BHK) parliamentary faction has no plans to join forces with former President Robert Kocharyan, lawmaker Iveta Tonoyan told a news briefing in the parliament on Monday.
“The Prosperous Armenia faction is the largest opposition force in the National Assembly, it has its own agenda and adheres to it,” the MP said.
She stressed the faction is not considering the possibility of cooperation with any other political force or alliance.
“As for the alliance of Robert Kocharyan’s supporters, it is exclusively within the field of their activity. I repeat myself that we have our own agenda and don’t consider the possibility of forming an alliance with anyone on this agenda,” she said.
Asked whether the MPs have read the ex-president's new book, Tonoyan and another BHK lawmaker, Vahe Enfiajyan gave negative replies, citing the lack of time.
They said they have not managed to read Nikol Pashinyan's book “The Other Side of the Country” as well, with Enfiajyan expressing hope they would have more free time for reading in summer.
