Tel Aviv to host first Semi-Final of Eurovision 2019 tonight
The first Semi-Final of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Tel Aviv, Israel, on Tuesday, with 17 countries set to take the stage, according to Eurovision TV.
Tonight’s show will see 10 countries with the highest points totals qualify for the Grand Final, set to take place this Saturday, 18 May.
Cyprus entry ‘Replay’ performed by Tamta will open the first Semi-Final. The contestants of Montenegro, Finland, Poland, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Belarus, Serbia, Belgium, Georgia, Australia, Iceland, Estonia, Portugal, Greece and San Marino will also be performing tonight.
Armenia’s Srbuk will perform first in the second Semi-Final of Eurovision 2019 set for Thursday, 16 May. She will perform ‘Walking Out’, a song composed by Lost Capital and tokionine, with the lyrics penned by Garik Papoyan, who also wrote Aram MP3’s “Not Alone” for Eurovision 2014.
The representatives of the Big Five – France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom – and host country Israel are automatically pre-qualified for the Grand Final.
