Whose kids are these?
What is the color of children? What color the ‘tabula rasa’ has? What do we want from our kids when we take them to demonstrations? What do children have to do outside courts? How much do they understand life that we have them stand up, holding posters with ‘life sentence’ demands?
Is it a hope or an ambitious fate that children have better understanding of life, social networks or social demands than we do, and know what to demand from courts, political elites, government, police, school principals…?
Do we realize that we make them a scapegoat by throwing them before the flock and protecting ourselves through them?
What do we teach them? Disobedience? Who it will be directed against in the future?
Reclamation? What reclamation can we possibly talk about when we fail to teach the kids the basic rights and responsibilities that are theirs not the adults’!
I regret the separation and aggression within the nation, but I regret more the attitude we show towards our children. Why did we start protecting ourselves through them? Or if we don’t protect ourselves, we ‘simply’ drag them into the matters of adults, without understanding the heavy burden of changes we put on them...
When did we become so irresponsible? Why did the upbringing, which entails daily care and a range of responsible actions towards kids, simply turned into negligence?
I don’t know what colors you have, but stop colorizing children ‘black’ or ‘white’. Don’t turn them into a political boomerang.
A demand for trial, traffic blocking, ostentation… all this shall pass, but the mark they leave on children may become a stigma.
Be in charge and take responsibility! Otherwise, what’s the point of being an adult!
A group of minors were reported to be among the protesters rallying against Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan outside a Yerevan court on Tuesday. According to Yerevan Today, they held posters reading “Life Sentence’, “Rob Killer’, “With Courage” and the like during the protest.
