Pashinyan: Armenia and China have common interests
On a working visit to China, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia on Wednesday met with Chinese Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang, the PM’s press service said.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, the Armenian leader stated that the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations is a good opportunity to discuss further cooperation issues.
“I am very happy for this opportunity and the meeting with you on the sidelines of the conference. Armenia and China have common interests. I think this visit will contribute to working on the projects presenting the interests of Armenia and China,” Pashinyan said.
Li Keqiang also highlighted the further development of bilateral economic ties, noting that the approaches of the Chinese side are in accordance with the sectoral priorities unveiled by the Armenian PM.
The officials also discussed issues related to the expansion and deepening of the partnership in trade turnover, industry, transport, IT and agriculture.
They also reflected on the cooperation in the construction project of North-South highway and other infrastructure projects. Li Keqiang unveiled his country’s readiness to be engaged in thօse projects.
