Pashinyan confirms upcoming meeting with Putin
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has confirmed he will meet with Russian president Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of St. Petersburg Economic Forum he plans to attend.
In an interview with TASS news agency, the Armenian PM has said he will leave for Nur Sultan on May 29 to participate in the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and then to St. Petersburg
“There will be interactions with Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg,” Pashinyan noted, adding relations with Russia are dynamically developing.
During the interview with Russian media outlets, Pashinyan has also expressed hope negotiations with Gazprom will bring agreements to decrease the price for the gas supply to Armenia.
“We have principled agreement to establish a common energy market and those negotiations are in line with the logic of these talks. Non-discriminatory price for gas and energy resources are important for the efficiency of the Eurasian Economic Union. I want to solve the matter by the end of the year,” the PM is quoted by the news agency.
