Armenian FM to attend CSTO meeting in Bishkek
Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan will travel to Bishkek Kyrgyzstan today to take part in the meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan told a news conference on Tuesday.
She said the meeting agenda includes appointment of a new secretary general for the organization and steps in the event of an early termination of the CSTO chief’s duties to fill the legal gap.
Asked to comment on the media reports that from January 2020 the CSTO will be led by Belarus's candidate Stanislav Zas famous for his pro-Azerbaijani activities, the spokeswoman said that only assumptions can be made regarding the issue so long as there is no respective decision by the CSTO.
