Armenia’s crisis management center handles 336 calls over past week
The National Center for Crisis Management at Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations responded to a total of 336 calls from 20 to 26 May, of which 139 were emergency cases.
The number included 137 household calls, 57 fire calls, 60 road traffic accidents, as a result of which 6 people died, 70 others suffered injuries, while 6 people were saved due to rescue operations.
The center registered 15 cases of snake detection in the reporting period, the ministry’s press service said.
The past week saw 8 poisoning cases, which left one citizen killed and 9 others wounded.
The ministry urges citizens to be as vigilant as possible and observe the basic safety rules both in everyday life and on roads.
