Beard festival to be held in Armenia
The organizers of “Yerevan Wine Days” have come with an idea to hold the first ever beard and moustache festival in Armenia in which men with beards and moustaches display lengthy, highly styled facial hair. As the initiators report this unique and interesting event will break the stereotypes about standard festivals being held in Armenia and raise the country’s attractiveness among tourists worldwide.
“Men all over the world tend to grow beards, while women show more interest toward bearded men. Considering this trend, France, Ireland, US and even Russia with their rich tourism history have turned beard and moustache festivals and competitions into a part of tourism events, establishing associations, World Beard and Moustache Association as one of them,” the organizers said.
According to the source, the festival will be held in the scope Fest Food & Eclectica Music Fest which is organized by Dolmama founder Zhirayr Avanyan to be held at one of Dilijan restaurants on June 14, 15 and 16.
