Tax reform package to be brought to Armenian parliament in early June
The Armenian parliament’s Standing Committee on Economic Affairs have approved a government-drafted massive bill package proposing changes to the country’s Tax Code, the committee’s chairman, Babken Tunyan told lawmakers at a regular parliament session on Thursday.
The tax reform package will be put on the agenda of the National Assembly’s plenary session after passing the first reading in an emergency session to be held within the first ten days of June, he said.
“The bill wasn’t included in this four-day session since it has quite a busy agenda, while the Tax Code issue requires long debates. I want to tell businessmen not to worry, since the bill will be adopted within the set timeframes,” he said.
