Temperatures to hit 39C in Armenian capital this week
Temperatures are set to soar to 39C in the Armenian capital of Yerevan and Ararat Valley in the daytime on Wednesday and Thursday, forecasters said.
In a post on Facebook, Gagik Surenyan, the head of the Meteorological Center of the Hydromet Service at the Ministry of Emergency Situations, said the regions will see such high temperatures in the first ten days of June for the first time on record.
Showers with thunderstorm are expected in some Armenian regions from Monday through Friday, the ministry said. Temperatures are set to increase gradually by 5-6 degrees across the country during the week.
Clear weather is predicted in Yerevan this week. .
