Armenia’s Sergey Smbatyan, London Symphony Orchestra make another joint recording
State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia, headed by the artistic director and principal conductor Sergey Smbatyan and London Symphony Orchestra, (LSO) made new recording on Tuesday for a new CD of the works of Armenia composers.
The recordings were made at the famous Watford Colosseum, the Armenian Symphony Orchestra said, adding this was not the first cooperation between Sergey Smbatyan and the London orchestra.
The CD will be released under Naxos label and includes Adagio of Spartacus and Phrygia by Aram Khachaturian and Shushanik lyric by Eduard Mirzoyan.
The recording producer is Grammy-Award winner Christopher Alder, who produces the recordings of the world's most famous classical musicians. His recordings have won scores of international awards and have featured on every worldwide classical best-seller chart.
