Armenia’s justice minister steps down
Armenian Justice Minister Artak Zeynalyan has submitted resignation, the minister himself broke the news on Facebook.
“In this historic period for our people, assuming the office of a minister was a super-responsible step, but also one aimed at finding step-by-step solutions to legal issues that emerged during my activity as a human rights defender," Zeynalyan wrote.
The minister expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for nominating him for the post, his team for their ‘interesting, fruitful and responsible work’, as well as international partners and civil society representatives for joint work.
“I am confident everything will be good or even better,” he concluded.
Zeynalyan started heading the Ministry of Justice since May 2018.
