Armenian audience enjoyed Max Bruch Violin Concerto No.1 for the first time
On June 10, Aram Khachaturyan concert hall hosted a joint concert by famous violinist Sergey Khachatryan and Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra reported in a release.
The concert program featured Sergei Prokofiev - Symphony No.1, Max Bruch - Serenade for Strings after Swedish Folk Melodies, Max Bruch - Violin Concerto No.1 According to the source, for the first time in Armenia Sergey Khachaturyan along with the Symphony Orchestra conducted by its Artistic Director Sergey Smbatyan performed Max Bruch Violin Concerto No.1
Following the concert, Sergey Smbatyan, the Principal Conductor of the Symphony Orchestra spoke of the long-established cooperation and “the unique chemistry” between Sergey Khachaturian and the Orchestra. “Sergey is one of the best violaists in the world as his performances “make Armenia and its culture recognizable around the world,” said Smbatyan
The concert received standing ovations by public with the audience having called the musicians back to stage for several times at the end of the concert.
