Brussels to host second EU-Armenia Partnership Council meeting on Thursday
An Armenian delegation led by Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan is leaving for Brussels on Thursday, June 13, to attend the second meeting of the EU-Armenia Partnership Council.
The meeting will be chaired by Mnatsakanyan and Federica Mogherini, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, the Foreign Ministry’s press service reported.
Mnatsakanyan and Mogherini will sum up the outcomes of the meeting at a joint news conference.
The Partnership Council will review the implementation of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) as well as the partnership priorities, the official website of the European Council reported.
It will also review economic, trade and sectoral cooperation, as well as prospects of launching a visa liberalization dialogue.
The Partnership Council will also follow-up on the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership and the implementation of the 2020 deliverables.
The top Armenian and European officials will discuss key political matters, including political dialogue and reform, democracy, rule of law, and human rights.
They may also discuss the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) conflict, and regional and international issues.
