Another Armenian judicial official steps down
Another member of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), Sergey Meghryan has submitted resignation, the press service of the council reported.
Meghryan unveiled his plans to leave the job in a Facebook post earlier on Thursday. “Under the current circumstances, I no longer find it appropriate to continue serving as a member of the Supreme Judicial Council and will officially resign tomorrow,” he said, wishing fruitful work to the new council staff.
4 out of the 10 Supreme Judicial Council members have already stepped down. SCJ Chairman Gagik Khachatryan tendered his resignation on May 24, while Gevorg Danielyan and Armen Khachatryan resigned as council members later in June.
