State commission on the prisoners of war, hostages and missing persons held regular meeting
Another meeting of the prisoners of war, hostages and missing persons commission of the Republic of Armenia took place on Friday, the ministry of defense reported.
At the beginning of the meeting, Armenian Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan who is the Chairman of the Commission, presented the new members and thanked the head of the Red Cross International Committee (ICRC) in Armenia for attending the meeting.
Tonoyan highlighted the role of ICRC in protecting the rights of the POWs and hostages as a result of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
The participants discussed a range of organization issues and outlined the main directions and activities scheduled for the second semester of the ongoing year. The participants next presented suggestions on the joint activity plan.
