John Bolton to host Armenian, Azerbaijani FMs in Washington
The assistant to U.S. President Donald Trump for National Security Affairs, John Bolton will host Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Minsters Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Elmar Mammadyarov in Washington, D.C. later this week, the official himself revealed on Twitter.
“Looking forward to meetings later this week with the Foreign Minister of Armenia and the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, to encourage continued dialogue between them. The United States stands ready to assist in advancing the cause of peace in the region,” Bolton tweeted.
On a working visit to the U.S., the Armenian foreign policy chief met with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs on Wednesday morning. He is next set to meet with his Azerbaijani counterpart in Washington with the mediation and participation of the Minsk Group mediators.
