Armenian parliament passes several bills in special session
The Armenian National Assembly adopted several bills after putting them to a vote in an extraordinary session on Friday.
Lawmakers unanimously passed a draft law on ratification of the agreement on cooperation between the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states in the field of information security.
A bill proposing supplements to the law on Water Users' Association authored by Sergey Bagratyan, an MP from the Prosperous Armenia opposition faction, was also adopted in a vote of 90 for, 2 against and 7 abstentions.
A draft law on making supplements to Armenia’s Labor Code was backed by 71 lawmakers and opposed by 10 others, while 14 MPs abstained.
The parliament also unanimously ratified the Agreement on Mutual Protection and Promotion of Investments signed between the governments of Armenia and South Korea.
A bill on social protection of disabled persons in Armenia drafted by the Bright Armenia faction passed the first parliamentary reading on Friday.
