Armenia's economic activity index grows by 7.3%
According to the data released by Armenia's National Statistical Service (NSS), the economic activity index (EAI) of Armenia increased by 7.3 % in January-May 2019 to compare with the same period of 2018.
According to NSS figures, the EAI rose by 8.4%, to compare April of the previous year and increased by 8.4% against the index of April of the ongoing year.
The electricity production volumes grew by 5.1% in May to compare with April data while the volume dropped by 7.4 to compare with the production volumes of the first five months of the previous year.
As for the external trade turnover, it dropped by 2.6% in January-May 2019 against the volumes of the same period last year.
