Armenian boxer says any challenge can be overcome as he beats Belarusian rival in European Games
One more Armenian athlete overcame the obstacle of the 1/8 finals at the 2nd European Games underway in Minsk, Belarus.
Baregham Harutyunyan (52 kg) outcompeted Belarus’s Emil Aliyev 4-1 to be qualified for the 1/4 finals.
After the bout the Armenian boxer commented on his victory in a conversation with the Armenian National Olympic Committee’s press service.
“It was a very hard bout but the next one will be better. It was difficult to fight with a Belarusian athlete supported by fans in Minsk, but any challenge can be overcome,” the boxer said.
In the quarterfinals Harutyunyan is set to face Spanish Gabriel Escobar.
