The Investigative Committee of Armenia is probing the murder of a 43-year-old ‘thief in law’ in capital Yerevan.
The investigation has revealed that the man, identified as Andranik H., sustained fatal gunshot wounds outside one of the buildings in 5 Nor Nork District on Tuesday, the committee said in a press release.
A criminal case has been launched into murder and illegal procurement and possession of firearms under Articles 104.1 and 235.1 of the Armenian Criminal Code.
An investigative team set up to deal with the case has found shells, one bullet, a sports bag and a plastic bottle while inspecting the crime scene.
Four gunshot wounds have been found on the victim’s body, including in the head.
The committee said all necessary measures are in place to uncover all the circumstances behind the murder and locate those responsible for the crime.
