Government approves signing of agreement with Singapore to avoid double taxation
The Armenian government approved on Thursday the signing of the agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Singapore for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income.
As the government press service reports, the initiative was undertaken in 2016 with respective discussions in working group held with the Singaporean side.
As the Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan said the agreement aims at contributing to the development of trade relations, the exchange of information between tax authorities to boost investments and bilateral export. It is noted that Armenia has similar agreements signed with 46 countries.
Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, in turn, informed that the Agreement will be signed in the scope of Pm Pashinyan’s upcoming visit to Singapore slated for July 7-9.
