Armenian FM meets with Artsakh president
Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan’s working visit to Artsakh kicked off on Thursday with a meeting with the country’s President Bako Sahakyan.
The Artsakh leader attached importance to such regular meetings as a good opportunity to sum up the joint work and to outline the further steps, the Armenian Foreign Ministry’s press service told Panorama.am.
The meeting addressed a wide range of issues related to the foreign policy and cooperation between Armenia and Artsakh in the sphere.
Referring to the Artsakh peace talks, both parties stressed the importance of establishing an atmosphere conducive to peace, as well as the need to implement measures to strengthen the ceasefire regime and reduce risks.
Mnatsakanyan and Sahakyan emphasized the importance of Artsakh’s involvement in the negotiation process in terms of ensuring the effectiveness of the peace talks.
The Armenian foreign policy chief introduced the outcomes of the Washington talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart to the Artsakh leader.
