Armenian PM’s wife visits Vietnamese children with blood diseases
The Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the “My City” and “City of Smile” Charitable Foundations, the wife of Armenian Prime Minister Anna Hakobyan visited on July 6 Blood Transfusion National Institute in Vietnam.
As the Foundation’s press service reports, Anna Hakobyan accompanied by deputy director of the institute Nyugen Ha Tan toured the children’s department of the institute, conversed with children and young adults treated at the centre and gifted Armenian hand-made souvenirs.
“I wish you health and to smile always to quickly overcome all hurdles. These hand-made dolls were prepared with love specially for you and I hope you will like them,” Mrs Hakobyan told the children.
Later, Hakobyan held a meeting with the deputy director of the Institute and the medical staff to present the activities of the “City of Smile” Charitable Foundation in Armenia which has been established to support people with oncological and hematological diseases.
The medical staff at the Institute informed the PM’s wife that around 1200 patients receive stationary medical treatment at the center, while another 300 are offered ambulatory treatment. Some 80 per cent of the Institute’s patients successfully overcome the blood diseases.
