Lower house of French parliament ratifies EU-Armenia deal
The lower house of the French parliament, the National Assembly, has ratified the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA), Armenia’s Ambassador to France Hasmik Tolmajian said on Twitter.
“Armenia warmly welcomes the adoption of the bill on the ratification of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Armenia by the National Assembly of France. A big thank you to the National Assembly,” the ambassador tweeted.
So far, a total of 14 EU member states – the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Poland, Luxemburg, Denmark, Malta, Romania, the United Kingdom, Finland, Hungary and Slovakia – have already notified the EU council of the completion of domestic procedures for the ratification of the document.
Armenia and the EU signed the deal in the margins of the Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels on November 24.
