Yerevan’s Komitas Museum-Institute to host concert honoring late clarinetist Abgar Muradyan
A concert paying tribute to the memory of late Armenian clarinetist and conservatory professor Abgar Muradyan will be held at Komitas Museum-Institute in Yerevan on Monday, 15 July.
Abgar Muradyan Duo of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra (David Gyulamiryan (clarinet) Lilit Zakaryan (piano)) and Komitas National String Quartet (Eduard Tadevosyan (first violin), Syuzi Yeritsyan (second violin), Alexander Kosemyan (viola), Anzhela Sargsyan (cello) and David Gyulamiryan (clarinet)) are set perform during the concert.
The event is scheduled to start at 7pm, the symphony orchestra’s press service told Panorama.am.
The concert program features pieces by Johannes Brahms, Eugene Bozza, Charles-Marie Widor, Paquito D'Rivera and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
An honored artist of Armenia, Abgar Muradyan would turn 75 years old this year. He dedicated his entire pedagogical and musical career to the development of clarinet academic culture in Armenia. Now his students continue the prominent artist’s legacy.
