No major issues in Bagratashen border crossing functioning, Armenia’s tax chief says
No major problems are observed in the functioning of Bagratashen border crossing, Chairman of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC) Davit Ananyan told reporters after a cabinet meeting on Thursday.
Ananyan joined Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Director of the National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan in a visit to the checkpoint on Wednesday.
The tax chief said the visit was initiated by the deputy PM.
“There are some issues over expanding the staff and boosting some technical opportunities. A tender has already been announced. We are set to install some building facilities and employ 4-5 more people,” Ananyan said.
He assessed the committee’s customs performance as ‘satisfactory’.
