Woman hits husband with laptop on plane for looking at other women
A woman's expletive-laden rant directed at her husband ended with her smashing a laptop on him and being removed from her American Airlines flight before it took off, USA Today reports.
The incident at Miami International Airport on Sunday was documented in a video that since being posted to Twitter has been viewed nearly 7 million times.
The woman, identified by the Miami-Dade Police Department as Tiffany McLemore, is heard in the video swearing repeatedly at her husband, who was not identified by police. At one point, she asks him if he wants to look at other women.
"You ain't gon' look at other women, and you ain't gon' tell me you're looking at other women," McLemore says, getting to her feet.
At one point in the video, after flight attendants get involved, the man can be heard saying, "You're going out of control." A slapping noise is heard and people on the plane gasp.
The man in the video eventually tries to get away, saying, "You're assaulting me!"
According to a police report of the Sunday incident, McLemore and her husband were arguing about McLemore's drinking. McLemore became "enraged" when her husband was ignoring her and when he got up to walk away, she got his laptop and threw it at him.
In the video, McLemore can be seen throwing the laptop while someone on the plane screams. While throwing the laptop, she yells, "I'm assaulting you?"
The laptop bounced off McLemore's husband and hit a flight attendant and a passenger. Both were treated at the scene and didn't file statements, according to police. The report adds McLemore walked off the plane and went in "an unknown direction."
