Embassy: Armenian citizens stranded in Egypt to arrive in Yerevan today
The Armenian citizens stranded in Egypt’s beach resort city of Hurghada due to the cancellation of the Hurghada-Yerevan flight on Thursday will be flown to Yerevan today, the Armenian Embassy in Egypt said.
The Hurghada-Yerevan Flight No. UJ 5600 departs at 3pm Egypt time, the embassy said, urging the citizens to arrive at the airport 2-3 hours before the flight.
Earlier on Friday, Head of Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan’s Office Varag Siseryan said the government was considering several options to arrange the Armenian tourists’ return.
He stressed the government was ready to pay for a charter flight to transport the tourists to Armenia.
