Pashinyan offers condolences on demise of Yervand Ghazanchyan
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia extended condolences on the death of Yervand Ghazanchyan, a popular Armenian actor and stage director, the PM’s press service reported.
“I was deeply saddened to learn about the death of People’s Artist of Armenia, stage director and professor Yervand Ghazanchyan.
Mr. Ghazanchyan’s role in the development of the Armenian theater is invaluable. The performances staged by him have left a significant mark not only on the cultural, but also on the public life. I am convinced they will have a special place in the rich heritage of the Armenian culture for many years.
I extend my deepest condolences to Yervand Ghazanchyan’s family, colleagues and fans,” the PM’s condolence message read.
The great artist passed away on Tuesday at the age 82.
