Temperatures to drop further in Armenia
Temperatures are set to drop further by 3-4 degrees in Armenia, the head of the Meteorological Center at the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Gagik Surenyan said on Facebook.
In the country’s hottest regions, as well as in capital Yerevan, temperatures will not exceed 33C, he said.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the country on 5 and 6 August. No precipitation is predicted on 7-9 August, the ministry said in a daily weather update.
Southwest wind speed is 3-8 m/s. During thunderstorms wind speed may reach up to 15-20 m/s.
Yerevan will see no precipitation from 5 to 9 August, with wind intensification up to 18-20 m/s expected in the evening hours.
Meanwhile, the ministry warned of a high risk of fire in the valleys and foothills of the country over the next five days.
