One killed in Armenia road accident
A person has been killed in a tragic road traffic accident in Armenia, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
The accident occurred on Yerevan-Meghri highway on Monday.
Two fire and secure squads were dispatched to the scene after the emergency responders received a crash report at 8:48pm.
The crew found out that a Vaz 2106 had burst into flames after going off the the road, hitting the road barrier and rolling some 5 meters into a canyon.
The fire was deemed under control at 9:33pm and put out at 9:38pm.
The rescuers found the burnt body of the driver, who hasn’t been identified yet.
The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
