Yerevan State University among top universities in the world
Yerevan State University has been included in the list of the top 2,000 universities of the world released by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) for the 2019-2020 academic year.
The leading university of Armenia has scored 66.1 points out of 100 and ranks 1930th on the list.
Harvard University tops the best world university rankings, followed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University of the United States.
From Armenia’s neighboring countries, Tbilisi State University sits 1073rd on the list, while Ilia State University of Georgia ranks 1549th.
Some 40 Iranian, 60 Turkish and 20 Russian universities are ranked among the world’s top universities. No university of Azerbaijan is included in the list.
While compiling the list, the CWUR used seven objective and robust indicators, including the quality of education, alumni employment, quality of faculty, research output, high-quality publications, influence and citations.
