Analyst comments on Pashinyan’s Artsakh remarks, Azerbaijan’s response
Armenian analyst Karen Bekaryan has commented on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement that “Artsakh is Armenia” made on Monday during a rally in Stepanakert, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s response to it and the reaction of the Armenian Foreign Ministry to the Azerbaijani comment.
“A regular manipulation of emotions or poorly corrected populism…
A quote from the prime minister’s Stepanakert speech: “Reunion! Artsakh is Armenia, and that’s all.”
A quote from the Armenian Foreign Ministry’s statement: “… Armenia regrets the incapacity of the authorities of Azerbaijan to understand the context and the content of the speech of Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, of 5 August 2019, which addresses the pan-Armenian agenda of advancing unity, solidarity, development and prosperity for Armenia, Artsakh and Diaspora.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister of Armenia has repeatedly stated that any viable option for the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be acceptable to the peoples of Artsakh, Armenia and Azerbaijan…”
So, how long will all this continue?” the analyst said in a Facebook post.
