Armenia, Russia send more humanitarian assistance to Syria
By the decision of the Armenian and Russian governments, another batch of humanitarian aid has been sent to Syria through the Armenian-Russian Humanitarian Response Center, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported on Tuesday.
The humanitarian assistance is intended for the Syrian citizens affected by the conflict in the country, the ministry said.
Minister of Emergency Situations Feliks Tsolakyan oversaw the process before the humanitarian aid loaded on 9 trucks was dispatched to Syria.
The aid included 52,5 tons of canned meat, 35 tons of canned fish, 40 tons of sugar, as well as around 14,5 tons of standard ration.
Representatives of the Armenian and Russian sides will deliver the cargo to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, which will further distribute it.
