ICRC not yet visited Armenian soldier detained in Azerbaijan
Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have not yet visited the Armenian soldier detained in Azerbaijan days ago, ICRC Armenia’s Communication Program Manager Zara Amatuni told Panorama.am.
The official said that the International Committee of the Red Cross is engaged in a confidential dialogue with relevant authorities to obtain a permission to meet with the soldier.
A private of the Artsakh Defense Army, Arayik Ghazaryan, 19, deserted his military post on Monday, at around 12pm, to end up in the territory of Azerbaijani in still unclear circumstances.
Armenia’s defense minister said the serviceman “must have got lost geographically.”
