Two wounded in traffic accident involving garbage truck in Armenian town
Two people were injured in a road traffic accident involving a garbage truck in Tsaghkadzor spa town of Armenia’s Kotayk Province on Friday.
A fire and rescue squad of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene after the emergency responders received a report on the accident at 10:31am.
It turned out that a GAZ-53 garbage truck had run off the road and overturned near Kecharis monastery. The driver of the truck and its passenger suffered injuries in the wake of the accident.
Before the rescuers arrived at the scene the wounded had been hospitalized at the medical center of Hrazdan town through local efforts, being transported to Heratsi Hospital Complex of Yerevan later.
The rescuers disconnected the automotive battery of the car.
