Less water volumes taken from Lake Sevan this year – Pashinyan
As of August 12 this year, water volumes taken up from Lake Sevan are 51 million cubic meters less to compare with the same period last year, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook.
“93 million cubic meters have already been taken up from Lake Sevan as of August 12 this year instead of 144 million cubic meters. This means there is high probability the adopted water intake volumes of 93 million cubic meters from Sevan which is envisaged by the law will not be realized.
In the PM’s words’, the reason for the possibility are the favorable weather conditions and the urgent measures taken in water administration.
