Combat Commonwealth-2019 drills of the Joint CIS Air Defense System started today
The official opening of Combat Commonwealth-2019 exercise of the Joint CIS Air Defense System took place on Monday at Russia’s Ashuluk range. As the defense ministry reported, the anthems of participating states were performed followed by the march of the national units of Armenia, Russia. Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The heads of military units addressed the participants noting the exercise will serve a good opportunity for exchange of experience and development of professional skills to conduct joint tasks in the scope of Joint CIS Air Defense System.
The head of the Armenian unit, Deputy Head of the Air Defense Troops' Department at the Ministry of Defense Colonel Artur Poghosyan, wished success and fruitful participation to all servicemen involved in the drills.
The final stage of Combat Commonwealth-2019 exercise will take place on September 5.
