Armenia announces lineup for Euro 2020 qualifier against Italy
The Football Federation of Armenia has just unveiled on Facebook the starting lineup of the Armenian national team against Italy in Group J qualifying for next year's European Championships.
The 23-men squad announced by head coach Armen Gyulbudaghyants includes goalkeepers Arsen Beglaryan, Aram Hayrapetyan, Anatoly Ayvazov, defenders André Calisir, Taron Voskanyan, Varazdat Haroyan, Artak Grigoryan, Kamo Hovhannisyan, Arman Hovhannisyan, Hayk Ishkhanyan, Hovhannes Hambardzumyan, midfielders Karlen Mkrtchyan, Petros Avetisyan, Erik Vardanyan, Edgar Babayan, Gevorg Ghazaryan, Artak Yedigarya, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Rumyan Hovsepyan, and forwards Tigran Barseghyan, Alexander Karapetyan, Artur Miranyan and Sargis Adamyan.
Midfielder Marcos Pizzelli has been left out of the squad due to knee issues.
This Euro 2020 qualifier is set for Thursday, 5 September, at Yerevan’s Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium.
Earlier the federation said the tickets for the match had been sold out.
Armenia is set to face Bosnia and Herzegovina in the next Group j qualifier scheduled for 8 September.
