Reconstruction of the road leading to Metsamor historical-archaeological museum-reserve
Reconstruction works of the road to Metsamor historical-archaeological museum-reserve in Armenia’s Armavir province are underway, the Governor’s office reported on Saturday. The renovations cover a 4,1 section of the road and are financed through state means.
It is noted that the reconstruction of the road will boost the tourism in the region as the museum-reserve is of a major historical and architectural interest among visitors.
To add, the ancient castle-resident of Metsamor is one of the world cultural unique monuments Since 1965 excavations have been carried out regularly in Metsamor. Metsamor historical-archeological museum was opened in 1968. More than 27.000 excavated objects are collected and exhibited in the museum.
