Armenian to introduce the principle of mutuality in accepting driving licenses issued in EAEU states
Citizens of EAEU member states can implement entrepreneur activity in the territory of Armenian by driving licenses issued in their home countries only through the principle of mutuality, Deputy Chief of Police Hovhaness Kocharyan told reporters at a briefing on Tuesday.
Kocharyan’s comments came at a response about upcoming amendments into the country’s traffic safety legislation. He detailed that If Armenian citizens with their national driving licenses are allowed to work in Russia, Armenia will also apply the norm to Russian citizens working in Armenia on the basis of mutuality.
Asked whether the move is a response measure against recent changes in Russian traffic legislation that banned foreign nationals with driving licenses issued by their home countries from working in the country, Kocharyan said: “This is not a response but the introduction of the same regulation into our legislation to ensure synchronization.”
